What's new at Celebrity Cruises? The Infinity Cruise, of course! The Infinity Cruise takes its passengers to destinations such as Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, Buenos Aires, and South America.
Some will mistake the Infinity Cruise for the nonexistent Infinity Cruise Lines, but the Infinity Cruise is actually under the Celebrity Cruise Line guise.
The Celebrity Cruise Infinity's inaugural date was in 2001. The ship holds 1,950 passengers, and has 11 passenger decks on board.
Like many typical mainstream cruise ships, the Infinity Cruise contains a theater, a casino, a fitness and recreation area, an Internet café, a library, a spa, and lounges. It offers travel packages such as cruisetour packages from which shore or land excursions can be chosen and purchased. Cruisetour shore and land excursions include learning about a city's distinct cultural heritage and sightseeing of breathtaking views.
The Trellis Restaurant is the ship's main dining room. It serves formal breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other dining options include the Oceanview, the ship's poolside buffet with daily themed cuisine, and the Aquaspa Café that serves healthy' cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The SS United States is a more formal restaurant that costs $25 per person.
Accommodations on the Infinity cruise include the balcony cabins, suites, ocean view cabins, and inside cabins. One thing that sets the Celebrity cruise Infinity apart from other cruise lines is that the cabins actually get smaller as they go down the decks. Most cruise lines' cabins are generally the same concurrent size.
One of the perks of the Celebrity cruise Infinity is their youth program. For $8 an hour, an on-board babysitter will come to the cabin and watch a maximum of two kids. A group babysitting playroom is also available at an extra charge of $3 per hour for one child, or $5 per hour for two or more kids from the same family. This service is available for children ages 3-12, from 10 pm to 1 am.
For one night on Infinity Cruise, during the formal dinner night, parents get a free break from the constancy of children. On Parent's Night Out, on-board counselors take the kids for a pizza party to let the parents have a breather and enjoy their formal dinner.
Shore and land excursions are also available for the family-oriented, or more suited for adults for those who wish to get away from the familial feel. Infinity Cruise family-oriented shore and land excursions are typically rated mild activity, and include activities such as ATV expeditions, air-conditioned submarine tours, jet-boats through back countries or historic waterways, and accessible activities that allow the children to be monitored by an adult.
Non-family oriented excursions available from Infinity Cruise have a moderate or strenuous rating. This can include an ATV and wine country tour, bike riding adventures, viewing hikes, or kayak and snorkeling adventures. These excursions are not suitable for people who would need to monitor a family or small children. These shore and land excursions are exhilarating, but at the same time they can be physically exhausting.
The Infinity Cruise is a great option for veteran cruisers who want to explore new destinations such as South America or Hawaii. With its range of options available for couples or families alike, it's hard to resist such a tempting vacation.
